Beware Rogue Authors With No Morals

Filed under: Marketing Minute - 05 Apr 2008

Thanks to a reader who was familiar with my articles, it was brought to my attention that once again, someone has managed to steal from me and claim themselves as the author of my work. I wrote this article two years ago and have it posted on over 1,600 article directories. It was one of my more popular articles. Today I discovered that someone has decided to claim my article as their own. You can click on the images to view the full image.

Notice how this person has blatantly removed my information and replaced it with his own:

Now normally I’m pretty tolerant of this kind of stuff but lately it has really been getting on my nerves. It irritates the heck out of me when someone doesn’t take the time to create something original but has the time to steal from someone else and claim it as their own. Well I seriously hope this guy gets a ton of hate mail from anyone who objects to this kind of blatant intellectual property theft.

I also can’t help but wonder how many of the other articles on his site were also stolen from someone else. It’s really sad, especially coming from someone who claims to be a search engine expert. Perhaps this guy should have taken a little time to notice how my name is on the other 1,600+ articles with this title that you can find on Google.
