Anyone who knows me personally knows how proud I am of my children. Yesterday my son’s photo appeared in our local newspaper in recognition of his perfect grades.

Andrew has also been recognized recently for his grades through an invitation to become a Student Ambassador for the state of Illinois for the year 2006. Andrew has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade average throughout his educational years to date. You can view the newspaper photo here.

Today both of my kids were honored at their school in the 2006 Young Author’s Awards.My 7 year old daughter, Anna got an Honorable mention for her story Once I Was a Caterpillar.

My 10 year old son wrote a touching story called “The Worst Year“. It is a touching story from a child’s point of view about living with Legg-Calve Perthes Disease. He won First Place for his book.
